INSPECTION PROCESS
THE INSPECTION PROCESS
A SYSTEMATIC APPROACH
Abitat Inspect’s detailed home inspection includes a non-destructive visual evaluation of each component of the property.

Inspection Process and Report Delivery
The duration of an inspection usually ranges between two and three and a half hours, depending on the size, age of the property, and the complexity of its systems.
Once the inspection is completed, the inspector will walk you through the property, provide a summary of their findings, point out any defects or items requiring repair, and give recommendations for property improvements.
After the inspection, a final and comprehensive report, including photos, is provided to you as the official record of the inspection conducted.
OUR DETAILED INSPECTION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
- Structure and foundation
- Electrical system
- Plumbing
- Roof and attic
- Basement and crawl spaces
- Gutters and downspouts
- Walls, floors, and ceilings
- Deck and porch
- Yard
- Central heating system
- Air conditioner and HVAC
- Plumbing fixtures
- Water heater
- Lights and outlets
- Doors and windows
- Other items to inspect as applicable
THE REPORT – CONCISE, DETAILED, AND EASY TO READ
Our narrative report, including color photos, provides a thorough description of the inspection of all property components. It is organized to be easy to read: information is divided into sections, each dedicated to a specific component or system of the home. All potential or actual issues detected, along with recommendations, are presented clearly and concisely.
The final report is delivered within 24 to 48 hours following the inspection, and we are fully available to answer any questions you may have.
